James Pearce names Liverpool academy youngster who was really 'impressing' against AC Milan U18s today

Liverpool Under-18s continued their preparations for the new season with a 2-1 victory over AC Milan at Kirkby on Saturday.

Goals from Oakley Cannonier and Luke Chambers secured the win for the young Reds, who will now face Blackburn Rovers in their final pre-season friendly next weekend.

Speaking after the game, Liverpool Under-18s coach Barry Lewtas praised the performance of his team, and singled out one player for special praise.

"Stefan Bajcetic was really impressing today," Lewtas said. "He's a young player who has a lot of potential, and he showed what he's capable of against AC Milan."

Bajcetic, who joined Liverpool from Celta Vigo in 2020, is a central midfielder who has been capped by Spain at youth level.

He made his debut for the Liverpool Under-18s last season, and has quickly become a regular in the team.

Bajcetic is a talented player with a bright future, and he will be one to watch in the upcoming season.
